Haberfield Public School has a number of visiting music tutors who teach a variety of musical instruments. As these tutors are not paid by the Department of Education they charge a discounted fee for lessons.

Students who learn from visiting tutors are expected to join the appropriate school musical ensemble when musically ready.

The instrumental lessons are conducted before, during and after school hours depending of what instrument students are learning.
