Haberfield PS welcomes the help and input of all of our parents who are able to volunteer

Parents can volunteer their time and assistance at various school excursions, officiating at school carnival events such as the Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics carnivals, Guided reading sessions and of course via membership of our Parents and Citizens Association.

Haberfield P&C meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm during the school year. All parents are welcome to attend. These meetings provide a forum for parents to discuss the school’s operation with the school’s Principal. Other School executive members and teachers often attend and provide an opportunity to meet in an informal, friendly atmosphere.

Parents who are able to volunteer at school events are asked to complete a Prohibited employment declaration form, obtained from the school office, in line with the Child Protection(Prohibited Employment) Act 1998. Child-related employment means any employment that primarily involves direct contact with children where contact is not directly supervised.

We greatly value all support given by our parent volunteers. Please contact our office if you are willing and able to commit to a particular event.
