Year 5 students travelled to the Brett Whiteley Studio to explore different ways of looking at and interpreting a range of artworks.
This tour provided our children with a perfect opportunity to develop their own visual arts vocabulary through discussion, exploration, activities and role-play.
The studio was the workplace and home of Australian artist, Brett Whiteley. The children were offered the unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the space -the studio with its unfinished paintings, art equipment and collections of reference books, and the graffiti wall covered with quotes and images.
A fun day was had by all!
