One hundred and thirty-four students took to the water on Friday 26th February as Haberfield Public School held their Annual Swimming Carnival at Ashfield Aquatic Centre. There were many hard-fought individual efforts, even to reach the other end of the pool!

It was a long, enjoyable day and the children were well behaved. The house spirit was evident throughout the day.

Congratulations to all the swimmers who tried to improve on their previous efforts. Thank you to all the volunteer parent helpers who judged and kept time.

The Western Suburbs PSSA Zone Swimming Carnival was held on Wednesday 3rd March at Auburn Swimming Centre. Twenty-three confident swimmers represented Haberfield Public School and competed against the best of nineteen other schools within the Zone. Many of these children were involved in more than one event.

Congratulations to our zone swimmers representing our school so admirably.

Our Junior Boys Relay team came second overall and will progress to the Sydney East Regional Carnival.
