Primary Sport – Term 1

Students from Years 3 to 6 have been allocated their Friday afternoon sport for Term 1, 2009. Children who are unable to swim 50 metres competently will be participating in swimming lessons at Ashfield Aquatic Centre. If you are interested in your child being taught by a professional swimming teacher, a Rothwell swimming coach is available to teach your child at an additional cost.
The inter-school P.S.S.A. competition in boy’s and girl’s softball and boy’s cricket will commence on Friday 20th February.

Students who are able to swim 50 metres and are not involved in the softball and cricket competition have an opportunity to participate in sport sessions at the Five Dock Leisure Centre.
There is also a school-sport option held within school grounds. There are usually three modified sports offered to your child and there is no cost associated with this option.

Haberfield School Swimming Carnival

Our School Swimming Carnival will take place on Wednesday 25th February at Ashfield Aquatic Centre. Only those students who are able to swim 50 metres will participate in the carnival.
Educational programs will continue back at school for those students who are unable to competently swim 50 metres.
We are interested in ascertaining if any parents are able to officiate at the carnival. Please let your class teacher know. We'd love to see you there!
